Have you lost anyone or anything lately? A family member or friend, a pet, a job opportunity, your community softball tournament? These scenarios, and more, count as areas grief could rise up to meet you. My advice is this: Rise up to meet grief head on. Prolonging the process out of fear or any other reasoning is only holding you back.
Face your grief. - Only you know how you are feeling. Be gentle with yourself and don't allow others to push you until you are ready to be pushed.
Journal - Keeping an account of your feelings as they ebb and flow with help you see patterns and triggers in your process.
Remember - Know that moving on isn't giving up or a loss of love. Hold the memories. Continue toward your goals.
Ask for help. - Never be too proud or too hard on yourself to ask for help when you need it. A great friend, mentor, or other resource could be just what you need to start seeing things in a new perspective.
LIVE! You are here to be your best self and I believe in you.
